Though she was thinking to give it a chance Aman argues against it, and eventually ends up revealing his love for her. This comes as a surprise to her, she had no idea that Aman loves her and she finds it difficult to answer to. But before she could say anything, his phone rang and he had to rush to hospital. Same day, evening at her room, she finds it difficult to focus on studies, Aman’s thoughts are continuously occupying her find. Flashes of all memories from these past years that they have been friends come to her. She understands how important place he has in her life but it still not enough to convince herself to accept the proposal. And what about Priyansh? She feels confused, scared, loved all at a time, mix of feelings and thoughts running through her. She wanted to call Aman and talk it out, but then decided against it and instead send him a whatsapp message. They had a brief chat and talks on various things but both avoided bringing up the topic they actually wanted to talk about. Aman goes to bed with a decision of taking a gift for her when they would meet the next in college.

Now let’s see what happens next.

Next Morning, At Abhi’s room:

Aman had been thinking about her whole night, he barely slept. In morning his eyes were still looking tired of sleeplessness. When enquired by Abhi, he didn’t say the real matter to him. He thought he would tell him all after getting an answer from her. As they were having breakfast someone knocked on the door.

Abhi glanced at the clock, “who has come at this time!”

Aman reached to open the door, and there he was, Priyansh was standing in front of him. Aman’s expression changed for a moment before he regained his composure and came back inside leaving the door open for Priyansh. Priyansh followed him.

“What happened? so early in morning you are here?” asked Abhi. Though it was well past 8’O clock for the hostel dwellers it was like dawn one can say. 90% of the boys don’t even wake up at this time let alone visiting someone.

“Nothing, thought of checking on you guys, how are you? And any news of Vijay?” he replied with questions.

“We are good. Don’t worry.” Snapped Aman.

“Vijay, we don’t know. I shall call his father later in the day.” Abhi said.

“Hmm. Just let me know if I can be of any help if you go to visit him again or something you know.” Priyansh extended his care.

“Why you are taking interest in this so much? As far as I know, you were not very close to him.” Aman wasn’t humble.

“Nothing, just wanted to help.” Priyansh replied. “Anyways, didn’t know you are staying here today! Skipping College?” he added further.

“No, I will go to college.” Aman replied.

How can I not! I need to go. I need to meet her. Before she takes a stupid decision about you, Aman was talking in his mind.

“Help yourself.” Abhi gestured him to sit pointing towards the chair. “How was the environment in college yesterday? By now everyone must be knowing the matter.” Abhi enquired.

“No visible effect, I would say. Classes happening as usual and everyone minding their own stuffs.” Priyansh pulled the chair for himself.

“His friends however met principal and dean regarding this matter, I don’t know they said there though.” He added making himself comfortable on the old wooden chair, with one arm half broken and hanging outwards a little.

“Hmm. Let’s see. Any notice about placements? Any more companies coming to college?” Asked Abhi.

“Not that I am aware of. I don’t think there would be many companies coming now. Recruitment session is almost over.” Said Priyansh.

“Okay guys, you talk, I am going to bath.” Abhi said glancing at the clock hanging on the side wall above the stack of books on the study table. It was declaring 8:40 am.

After Abhi left, he casually asked “and how is all going?”

Aman was skeptical but didn’t express anything. “All good” he replied.

After a moment, Aman asked “What’s this between you and her?”

“Her?” Priyansh gestured that he didn’t understand what Aman is talking about.

“As if you didn’t understand.” Aman gave a look.

“Oh! Nothing bro, she didn’t say anything yet.” He replied after thinking for a moment.

“Hmm.” Aman was thinking.

“But I think she will say yes. I kind of like her you know. What do you say?” Priyansh asked. He knew they are in same batch as good friends.

“What is to say. She won’t say yes on this.” Aman replied with a flat face.

“And why is that?” Priyansh was little annoyed now.

“Because I love her. I don’t know from where this idea came in your mind, but you better be away from her.” Aman’s tone was harsh.

Priyansh didn’t like it, “So what? Because you like her, no one can try on her? You know better than that bro.”

“Yeah I know, but not in this case, you better keep away I am telling you.” Aman snapped.

“Look man, you like her. It’s not a secret, everyone knows it. But you never gonna say her. Do you!!” Priyansh said as matter of fact.

Aman was taken a back. He knew that most of his friends understand it, they even teased him on this more often than not. But didn’t expect it to come this way from Priyansh.

“Then why are you trying on her?” Aman asked.

“Are you guys dating each other? No, right? Then why shouldn’t anyone try on her? Just because you like him?” Priyansh replied bluntly.

“She is a beautiful girl bro, and there are many who would try on her. What you going to do?” he further asked.

“I am telling you to stay away, don’t complicate it.” Aman was not going to inform him that he already expressed his love to her.

Hah. I stay away from for because Mr. Aman likes her, but he won’t say this to her, and he won’t let anyone come closer to her! You got serious issues bro.” Priyansh was mocking Aman now.

“I already proposed her. Let’s see what she answers.” Priyansh stated. “And if she says yes, you keep dreaming.” He further added.

“Are you serious about her?” Asked Aman.

“Serious means? I like her yes. I am serious.” Priyansh replied in plane tone.

“Yes, as serious as you were with your last girlfriend?” Aman taunted.

“None of your business. Isn’t it?” Priyansh snapped.

“She ain’t saying yes to you. Rest assured.” Aman presented it as a fact.

“How can you so sure?” Priyansh was angry by now.

“Because I know her.” Aman said

“Well, if she says No, I may be won’t try on her further. You can go on with your pity story.” He gave a disgusted look to Aman.

“But if I get to know you are influencing her in saying No, it’s not going to be good; I say you.”  Priyansh was is not mood to be nice to him.

“Are you threatening me Priyansh? What you going to do?” Aman retorted.

“I don’t want to do anything to you, I am saying you do not poke your nose in this. I know you are her friend but that doesn’t mean you will interfere in this too.” Priyansh wanted to make his position clear.

Aman didn’t reply.

“I say you don’t interfere in this Aman.” Priyansh said again.

Just then Abhi entered the room, he sensed the heat in the air and enquired, “who is interfering in what?”

“Nothing, we were just talking about Vijay if it can have something to do with his love relation.” Aman didn’t want to tell Abhi about this now.

Priyansh understood it and affirmed Aman’s words. He gave a look to Aman though.

Aman could understand the heat there, but refrained himself from asking further, for then.

“Okay, guys, I’ll see you in college. Bye.” Priyansh looked at his watch.

“Okay. See you.” said Abhi.

After he left, Abhi asked Aman again, “Something wrong between you two?”

“Nothing, I will tell you. Just wait a little.” Aman replied hinting him that yes, there is something wrong but I will tell you later.

“So now you are hiding things form me! Good.” Abhi gave a look to Aman.
