Beginning and End (English poem #13)

Beginning and end

It doesn’t matter where
Or how did you start,
It doesn’t matter where
Or how do you end it.

The beginning more often
Is a terrible start
The end more often so
Brings sadness.

You may achieve your goals
May reach your destination
Happy or sad or indifferent
But none does ever matter.

You fail again and again
You may never reach
To desired destination
But none does ever matter.

What matters is the journey
The path between start and end,
That is what gives it meaning
That is what makes worth living.

May you achieve all that you wish to, all that is good.

A literary soul. A dreamer.
